Ricky Levy Park

Pass Christian Park on the BEach in Coastal Mississippi
Ricky Levy Park
Beachside at the Pass Chritian Harbor

This park is located on the beach next to the Pass Christian Harbor.  It has two large Lunch Pavilions with BBQ grills for convenient picnics or parties.  The play equipment is located between the pavilions which includes swings, slides and a jungle gym climber.  Because this park is on the beach, you get the best of both worlds – beach and playground.  There are also two volley ball nets on the beach part of the park.  This park just might be the coolest because of its location.

Lucien Gex Playground on Coleman Avenue in Waveland

This is one of my favorite parks!  It is located next to the Old School house which is now the Waveland Community Center.  Its a bit eclectic.  It has old equipment and new equipment.  I imagine the old metal equipment didn’t get washed away in Hurricane Katrina so new equipment was just added to give it an update.  This park is suited for children of all ages.  It has 3 slides – one tornado slide, one small slide and a tall metal slide. There are plenty of big kid and baby swings. There is also a Merry Go Round, which is something you rarely find at a playground anymore. After Hurricane Katrina, a gazebo was built in the corner of the park.  There are special tiles in the gazebo that are made from the Old City Hall building that was next door.  If you are looking for something to do one the weekend, a picnic at this park would be a great outing.
